FEMA Approves $6.93 Million To Texas For Houston
AUSTIN, Texas — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that federal disaster aid in the form of Public Assistance has been made available to reimburse the State of Texas for disaster relief. The State of Texas administers FEMA's Public Assistance program under which eligible and documented disaster-related costs are reimbursed to state and local government units. Massachusetts Voluntary Organizations Coordinating Flood Relief Efforts
ANDOVER , Mass. — Leaders from a variety of local and national volunteer organizations are working together to help Massachusetts communities recover from the flooding that occurred in mid-May. The Massachusetts Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (MAVOAD) will hold its next meeting June 29 at the United Way of Merrimack Valley in Haverhill to continue mapping out a long-term recovery strategy. FEMA Provides $58 Million in Disaster Aid for Communities Across Louisiana
NEW ORLEANS, La. — More than $58 million in disaster assistance has been provided to Louisiana for Public Assistance projects in several areas of the state. The funds were made available in June by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). They are intended primarily to reimburse the state for repair to hospitals, schools, government buildings and for debris removal from public-use properties following the destruction caused by Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. FEMA Adds $45.01 Million in Mississippi Public Assistance
BILOXI, Miss. — An additional $45.01 million in Public Assistance grants for Mississippi has been awarded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
