      ROCKFORD, Ill . — The Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are establishing short term Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Will and Lake Counties for residents who suffered damages from recent severe storms and flooding that occurred on Aug. 20 - 31.       SEATTLE, Wash. — Susan Reinertson, FEMA Regional Administrator for Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, has been accepted into Harvard?s National Preparedness Leadership Initiative (NPLI) Executive Education Program. Held at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, the executive program helps to train executives from across government and to guide the design of comprehensive multi-agency emergency response plans that cross geographic and jurisdictional boundaries.     • King County First County In Nation To Achieve Crs Class 2 Status

      SEATTLE, Wash. — King County Residents in the state of Washington will enjoy reduced flood insurance premiums, thanks to their county's active participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS). According to FEMA Regional Administrator Susan Reinertson, they'll not only pay less in insurance premiums, but enjoy reduced exposure to flood damage. [more]
